Ashley Joyner

Ashley started coaching volleyball at the age of 17. She got her start at Upper Chesapeake Volleyball Club in Bel Air, Maryland, coaching a 15s team. She also coached multiple summer camps at Harford Community College. While living in New York, Ashley coached a 14s team for Downstate Volleyball Club, winning the regional championship in 2017. She was also the Operations Assistant of the Dominican College Volleyball team.

In total Ashley has 9 years of experience playing volleyball.  In high school, Ashley was varsity team captain both junior and senior year and made First Team and Second Team All-County selections 3 years in a row. She also was the four-time team MVP and recipient of the Joppatowne High School Most Athletic Award. She also played club for Upper Chesapeake Volleyball Club. Ashley continued her volleyball career at Harford Community College. As captain she helped lead her team in winning two conference championships in 2012 and 2013. In 2014 Ashley attended Dominican College, in Blauvelt NY where she played at the division II level. There she was inducted into the Dominican College New York Sigma Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma for achieving a 4.0 gpa while in season. She was also named to the Central Athletic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Tournament Team and was the recipient of the Dominican College Women's Volleyball team Coach's Award. Ashley graduated from Dominican College with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science. She is currently in her fourth season as the head varsity coach at Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School in Philadelphia. 

Ashley is in her sixth season coaching for DUVBC, and has enjoyed coaching  14s through 18s teams as well as all our camps and clinics. Ashley is a member of USA Volleyball and is both Safe Sport and Impact Certified.
