Covid-19 Protocol

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE ABLE TO ANSWER NO TO THE FOLLOWING SCREENING QUESTIONS:

 
  • Have you had a temperature of 99.5F within the last 24 hours? Please check your temperature before coming to volleyball.  Is it greater than 99.5F?
  • Do you have any of the following symptoms that are new in the last 1-2 days: cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, body aches, chills, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of sense of smell or taste?
  • Are you or anyone in your household waiting on a Covid-19 test result or have you or anyone in your household recently tested positive for Covid-19?
  • Have you or anyone in your househiold been told to quarantine at home for 14 days?
  • Have you been around anyone with known Covid-19 infection in the past 14 days?

RETURN TO PLAY GUIDELINES FOR DELAWARE UNITED VOLLEYBALL CLUB

  1. Before Activities DUVBC staff will:

    • Disinfect the venue and all equipment, including volleyballs, where the club activities will take place.

    • Verify that venue staff, club staff and participants are symptom-free before participating in any activities. Touch-free temperatures will be taken prior to players/staff entering the building.

    • Provide hand washing or sanitizing stations throughout the venue.

    • Turn off water fountains at the venue.

    • Establish social distancing protocols.

    • Create and display signage clearly outlining the venue’s COVID-19 policies.

  2. During Activities DUVBC staff will:

    • Continue to clean and disinfect the venue and equipment, including volleyballs, where the club activities will take place.

    • Enforce social distancing requirements.

    • Staff will wear masks.

    • Regularly sanitize commonly touched surfaces during the club activity.

    • Remove anyone from a club activity if they exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms.

    • Limit the number of people in the facility to be compliant with local guidance.

    • Modify drills or activities to limit/reduce potential violations of social distancing requirements including but not limited to high fives, huddles, and team meetings. 

    • Per Delaware State guidelines all players will stay within their designated zone on the court to ensure social distancing. All drills and games are going to be modified to maximize six feet distance between players.

    • Use hand whistles as opposed to regular whistles.

  3. After Activities DUVBC staff will:

            • Sanitize all surfaces and volleyballs that were used during club activities.
